Planet Micro were one of our first clients. We began our relationship back in 1999, when they started out and have had a successful association with them for 7 years. They have now grown hugely in size and have employed their own in-house technical team to support their web site and it's marketing.
As the needs of their business increased so did the support we offered them. We built every version of their site, through to version 5, as of May 2006. It has a comprehensive shopping cart, with numerous custom written features, all of which are manageable via their own back office system, with which the web site is fully integrated. The site takes payments via a live processing link with Barclays and orders go straight through to despatch, saving on paperwork and improving efficiency.
We were also solely responsible for the web marketing of the site for the same period and through a combination of all forms of online marketing, helped site traffic break 1 million visitors during Nov 04, that's somewhere in the region of 250 million hits in a month. This had the obvious knock on effect in sales, which rose at an incredible rate and helped them become one of the largest computer distributors in the UK.
